Biography
My name is Jim and I have been a nurse for 22 years. During this time I have worked ED, Med-Surge, Med-Tele, wound clinic, and education. I retired from Mayo Clinic Health System in December 2022. I was involved as a Joint Appointment Clinical Instructor through an agreement between Mayo Clinic Health System and UW-EC from fall of 2017 through fall semester2020 which included first and second semester Junior Nursing Clinicals. Nursing is a second career for me as I retired from the business profession in 1999. I have been blessed with being married for 34 years to my really awesome wife Donna. I have three adult children. My son is an architect, one daughter a RN and the other currently in nursing school. Church and volunteerism are very important to me. In our spare time, my wife and I travel throughout the Chippewa Valley and visit food pantries, Head Start Programs, and other charitable organizations from October through December distributing free winter outer wear to people of all ages in need. This has brought us much joy. You can learn about our work on Facebook at Luke 3:11 Project. We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.
I am also a Board Member for the Aging and Disability Resource Center for Buffalo and Pepin Counties.
(As a side note, I really enjoy a good joke and I am a die-hard Packer fan :)
